What is BioThane?
BioThane is the latest material for dog collars and leashes. BioThane is actually a brand name – the product is a polyester webbing coated with PVC (polyvinyl chloride, which is a widely used flexible plastic). The coating makes the webbing much moredurable, waterproof and easy to clean. It’s actually stronger and more durable than leather.
BioThane is also very flexible and odor-resistantsince it doesn’t absorb moisture. All of this makes it theperfect material for dog collars and leashes, especially for dogs that play in water or get their collars dirty.
